Dance Recital

Have you ever heard of a dance studio called Dancexpress?
Well, I definitely have, since I dance there! And last weekend was my dance recital! It was so exciting to get up on stage and perform in front of so many people! My favorite thing to do is dance, so I wait for this day every year. I have been dancing for 5 years, and I hope to dance for many more!
The best part about dancing for me is being able to show everyone what you have worked on for the past year, and showing them how hard you work at what you love. Dancing is my passion, so that is why it is so exhilarating to just be up on the stage and show everybody what I have worked on.
I hope that everybody enjoys their passion, and enjoys doing what they love.DO WHATEVER YOU LOVE.

The Teashop Girls

Have you ever read a book called The Teashop Girls? I have, and I did not like it. It lacked a good plot and never really had a turning point. It also didn’t have very good characters. It felt as if the characters didn’t really have opinions.

The whole plot was based upon a girl whose grandmother owns a teashop that may close down or stay open. Then there is the main character’s best friends, Zoe and Genna, who aren’t very developed characters.

There are the main scenes, where they work on saving the shop, but then other extra scenes that don’t really have to do with anything!

The story can also be very confusing at times because they don’t describe the characters very well.

If you have never read this book before, I recommend not reading it. I would choose another book.

If you have read this book, please tell me what you think about it!

Storybird

If you’re like me, and enjoy reading and writing stories, then I think you should join a website called Storybird.com. Many kids are already writing stories. I think it is a new and interesting idea for all ages. You can write stories about all different topics, and pick artwork to go with your story. There are monthly “challenges”, with different topics, that you can write a piece for, and see if you’re a finalist!

You also have the option to buy your book, in hardcover, softcover, or a PDF file. This option is great if you want to give your book as a present!

Another great thing about this website, is that you can read other kids stories. You can also comment on them. For example, you could write ‘I loved it!’ and people can also comment on your stories.

I like to write stories on this website, and my family enjoys getting my stories as gifts too. Try this now!

Do you play Wii and do you like baseball?

Then I think you should get major league baseball 2K11.Roy Halladay is on the front cover. It is easy to play and realistic. It has every team and most of the right players. If you like the Philadelphia Phillies, my favorite team, they now have Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt. They also have Dominic Brown. Now you can wear a team’s batting practice jersey. If you throw a perfect game against the computer you can win $1million.They are many mini games like home run derby, make your own franchise, try to win the world series and make your own tournament.

I am very good at playing 2KBaseball. I almost always beat my dad!

By the way, have you seen the 2K Baseball commercial with Roy Halladay and Carlos Ruiz blow up doll. It is very funny - everyone needs a Carlos Ruiz! (that’s what Roy Halladay says)
